A leaky tub or shower valve is one of those problems that's easy to ignore - until it isn't. What starts as a slow drip behind the wall can quietly cause water damage, mold, and a much bigger repair bill down the road. We got the call on a Hurst home where the tub/shower valve had seen better days, and we got straight to work.

To get to the valve, we opened up the wall behind the tub. That's the only real way to do this job correctly. Once we had access, we could see exactly what we were dealing with and start swapping out the old failed valve for a proper replacement. No guessing, no shortcuts.

The new valve was soldered into place with fresh copper connections and tied into the existing hot and cold supply lines. We take our time on the torch work - a bad solder joint is just another leak waiting to happen. Everything was tested before we called it done.

That's really the point here. A small leak behind a wall isn't a "check on it later" situation. Water doesn't wait. The longer it sits, the more it works its way into the surrounding materials. Catching it early and handling the leak repair correctly the first time is always the better move.

If your shower sounds off, runs inconsistently, or you've got a hunch something isn't right with your tub plumbing, don't sit on it. Valve replacements and leak repairs are exactly what we do, and we're happy to take a look.
