A leaking tub faucet is one of those problems that seems minor at first. Then you notice water stains, wasted water, and the constant drip that won't quit. Left alone, it can quietly cause real damage behind your walls or under your tub surround.
This was a master bathroom tub faucet that had seen better days. The old fixture was leaking and needed to come out completely. With faucet work like this, there's always more to the job than just swapping out what's visible on the surface - the pipe connections underneath have to be solid too.
That's where the copper work comes in. We soldered a new fitting assembly using proper torch technique and solder, making sure every joint was clean and fully sealed before anything went back together. It's not glamorous work, but it's exactly the kind of detail that determines whether a fix holds up for years or fails in months.
Once the pipe work was right, the new faucet hardware went in. The deck plate and valve stems seated cleanly into the marble surround, and the new brushed nickel spout tied it all together. Clean install, no shortcuts.
Bathroom plumbing issues have a way of compounding fast. A small leak ignored becomes water damage. Water damage becomes a much bigger bill. Getting a qualified plumber in early - especially for something like a tub faucet replacement - is almost always the smarter move.
