This one was straightforward in terms of diagnosis - but that doesn't make it any less important. A homeowner in Bedford had a failed main water shut off valve buried underground. When that valve stops working, you lose the ability to cut water to your entire home in an emergency. That's a serious problem.

We dug down to expose the old valve and here's what we were working with: a corroded, deteriorated shut off that was done. No repairing it. The fitting had failed and water was actively making its way into the surrounding soil. The longer something like this sits, the more saturated the ground gets - and the more expensive the headache becomes.

We pulled the bad valve out and replaced it with a new ball valve. Ball valves are the go-to for main shut offs because they give you a full open or full closed position with a simple quarter turn. No guessing, no fighting with a worn-out gate valve that only partially closes. Clean, reliable, and rated to handle the pressure of a main line.

Underground water leaks are tricky because you don't always see them right away. Wet spots in the yard, a spike in your water bill, or soft ground near your foundation - those are all signs something may be going on below the surface. By the time it's obvious, the problem has usually been going on for a while. Getting it checked early almost always means a simpler, less costly fix.

Our team handles underground and yard line water leak repairs across the Bedford area. Whether it's a busted shut off, a cracked supply line, or a leak you can't quite locate - we dig in and get it sorted.
