A leaking toilet has a way of getting ignored. It's easy to tell yourself it's just a small drip or a little water on the floor - no big deal. But left alone, even a slow leak can waste a significant amount of water and quietly damage your subfloor, tile, and the surrounding area before you ever realize the full extent of it.

Here's what we were working with on this one. The toilet had a leak that needed to be properly diagnosed before anything could be fixed. That's the part most people don't think about - finding the actual source. A lot of things can cause a toilet to leak, and throwing parts at it without knowing why is a waste of time and money.

We pulled the fill valve - the component that controls water flow into the tank after each flush. When these wear out or fail, they can cause water to leak from the tank connection points or run continuously without you even noticing. Replacing it with a new unit and properly reseating the supply line connection takes care of the root cause instead of just patching around it.

That's the difference between a real fix and a temporary one. We don't just tighten a fitting and hope for the best. We trace it back to where the problem actually starts, swap out what needs to go, and make sure everything is sealed and functioning the way it should before we leave. No guesswork, no callbacks.

A leaking toilet isn't worth waiting on. The longer it sits, the more it costs you - in water waste, potential water damage, and the repairs that follow. If yours is giving you trouble, Total Care Plumbing can get it sorted out the right way.
